in this website containing specific words or combinations of words. The search function will display
a weighted list of matching pages
with better matches shown first. Each list
item is a link to a matching page. If the page has a title, it will be
shown, otherwise only the file name is displayed. (A brief explanation of the query language is available along with examples).
Search Instructions
The text search engine used by the FrontPage Search Form
accepts queries formed using Boolean (and, or, not
and parentheses) and wild card (asterisk) operators.
Here are a few examples:
- A search for "ngt-18 review" will find pages in
this web containing ngt-18 or review.
- A search for "ngt-18 or review"
will find pages containing ngt-18 or review (same as above).
- A search for "ngt-18 and review"
will find pages containing both ngt-18 and review.
- A search for "ngt-18 not review"
will find pages that contain ngt-18 but do not contain review.
- A search for "ngt-18 and (review
or accessories)" will find pages containing ngt-18
and either review or accessories.
- A search for "ngt*" will find
pages containing any words that start with ngt such as ngt-12.5,
ngt-18, etc.)
It is recommended that you enter all text in lower case
(because of a possible bug in the FrontPage search algorithm).
The Clear Text button
will only clear the text entered before beginning a search, not after. To clear text without
using this button, drag your mouse to highlight all the text then press delete.
When you link to a page found in the search, use the browser find function (CTRL
F in Windows) to find the exact search string.
